Henry and Mary Helena McLain were married in 1894 – they had four sons, Elliot (b. 1895), Leigh (b.1900), Raynor (b. 1903) and Stuart (b.1905). Each has their own family picture page. Elliot’s family. Leigh’s family. Raynor’s family. Stuart’s family. There is also a page for group photos and older relations.
There is also a page that tracks the houses, farms and land grants of the McLain ancestors.
Family History
The oldest pictures of any McLains we have are of Fulton McLain II (Henry’s father and Mary Helena’s Uncle) and his wife Jane Jack. Fulton McLain (II) was born in New York and Jane Jack was born in Raisin Township in Lenawee County Michigan. He is the McLain that inherited Fulton Jack’s land because, presumably, Jane couldn’t hold the land and was Fulton Jack’s only heir. Read more about the McLain/Jack family land here.
